About Dr. Shripati Upadhyaya

 

Dr. Shripati Upadhyaya is a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He graduated from the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, India in 1972.

 

He has held clinical, research, teaching and administrative posts in various organizations in India, Malaysia and England. Dr. Upadhyaya does regular workshops and conducts courses for senior managers, support staff, clinical psychology trainees, nursing students and families/carer’s in the area of autism, Asperger syndrome, learning disability, cognitive behavior therapy and transcultural psychology.

 

Currently Dr. Upadhyaya is employed as a Consultant Lead Clinical Psychologist in the Bradford District Care N.H.S. Trust, Bradford, UK. He has a key responsibility in development of autism services across Bradford and District. This involves liaising with professionals, agencies such as education, social services, Bradford and District Autism Support Group, parents/carer’s and other voluntary bodies. Dr. Upadhyaya is also in private practice and sees people with autism/Asperger syndrome at Capio Yorkshire Clinic, Bingley, West Yorkshire, England.
